How to Get the Absolute Value of a Cell in Excel
January 25, 2018
Have you ever needed to get the absolute value of a cell? You might remember from math class that the absolute value of a number is "how far from zero it is." The number 5 is 5 away from zero, and the number -6 is 6 away from zero. In those cases, 5 and 6 are the respective absolute values. You can find this in Excel by using the =ABS function. Use this function and point it to a cell to find the absolute value.
