How to merge and center cells in Microsoft Excel

Merging and centering cells in Excel is a really easy way to create a header row for a table. When you use this feature, you're basically taking multiple cells and joining it into a single cell of data.

To do this, select your cells and click the "merge and center" icon in the ribbon (on the "Home" tab).
